Each student sewed a square depicting something they enjoy about school or being part of the ISL community. Tuesday 3rd June marked the annual ISL music concert at Salle Ellipse in Sainte-Foy. Over 120 students participated, from Grade 1 to Grade 11, showcasing a wide variety of film music repertoire, ensemble formations, and instruments. This event was a wonderful opportunity for students, staff, and families to come together as a school community and celebrate the learning and progress

This year, the Grade 7–8 French B+ class worked on a movie project with an actor from the theatre company “La Clinquaille” from Vienne. We created a movie script inspired by pictures created by disabled adults from the ADAPEI in Ste Foy and some texts written by elderly pensioners from the résidence Beau Soleil, also in Ste Foy. This year’s Young Authors Fiction Festival (YAFF) had more than 1,000 entries. Two Senior Kindergarten students, Quinn and Edward, earned two of the winning spots! On 19 and 20 June, the Grade 11 Physicists spent two days off-timetable working on their Internal Assessment (IA) projects for their IB Physics course. These projects contribute 20% of their final grade. Subjects for research this year were diverse, including determining the clay content of pencil lead using resistivity measurements, the relationship between temperature and the speed of sound,

The primary school has been celebrating the start of summer with La Fête de la Musique, an event that has been rocking France since 1982! The school day began with the drumming circle waking up the neighbours with a lively selection of beats.
