Yoga lessons in the Pre- and Junior Kindergarten class are always a joyful part of their Wednesdays. Linked to the current Unit of Inquiry, a thematic yoga lesson on transportation was enjoyed by the students. Using coordination, balance, and focus, the students practised various poses imitating different types of transportation. Here you can see some of their best poses!

From 15th – 17th of May the Grade 6-8 students took part in the annual middle school camp. The Senior Kindergarten students have been busy in their class hairdresser’s salon, as part of their role play this week. The salon offers a wash and blow dry, curling, dyes, wigs and styling and even beard and moustache trimming! The students have had to take turns being the hairdresser, write appointments on their booking sheets and keep the salon tidy

Back in March, Grade 7 and 8 students went to the Bourse du Travail to listen to the Chamber Orchestra of Lyon perform. The program featured excerpts of repertoire by Ravel, Brahms and Tchaikovsky, a presentation of the 3 families of instruments in the orchestra (string, wind, percussion) and demonstrations of each individual instrument. The Grade 5 students recently had the opportunity to spend a day following the Grade 6 schedule in order to better prepare them for the transition from Grade 5 to Grade 6 next year. The Grade 3s, 4s and 5s created stop-motion videos to show our school’s vision, “Building our Best Selves” as part of our recent Vision Day activities. As part of our unit of inquiry (How We Organise Ourselves), which focuses on the clothing we wear, the Grade 1 students participated in a sewing project, each making a personalized pair of shorts.
