Staff in ISL are firm believers in lifelong learning and strive to keep up with worldwide developments in the best educational practice, modern technology and the syllabuses they deliver. We participate in workshops and conferences run by our supervisory body, the IB (International Baccalaureate) as well as those of specialist organisations of which we are members ECIS (Educational Collaborative for International Schools); ELSA (English Language Schools in France Association) and CIS (Council of International Schools) We also use our internal expertise for regular in-service training and all teaching staff are involved in an SDPL (Self-Directed Professional Learning) personalised action research project around a topic they wish to explore in depth in order to enhance the school’s individual and collective teaching and learning. We look forward to presenting our findings to you as the projects progress.
In terms of our priority of student safety, all ISL staff are trained in Child Protection and Safeguarding and in mandatory first aid and fire safety procedures.
