To celebrate ISL’s 20th anniversary, the Primary and Kindergarten students collaborated on a beautiful giant quilt. Each student sewed a square depicting something they enjoy about school or being part of the ISL community. Tuesday 3rd June marked the annual ISL music concert at Salle Ellipse in Sainte-Foy. Over 120 students participated, from Grade 1 to Grade 11, showcasing a wide variety of film music repertoire, ensemble formations, and instruments. This event was a wonderful opportunity for students, staff, and families to come together as a school community and celebrate the learning and progress

This year, the Grade 7–8 French B+ class worked on a movie project with an actor from the theatre company “La Clinquaille” from Vienne. We created a movie script inspired by pictures created by disabled adults from the ADAPEI in Ste Foy and some texts written by elderly pensioners from the résidence Beau Soleil, also in Ste Foy. The primary school has been celebrating the start of summer with La Fête de la Musique, an event that has been rocking France since 1982! The school day began with the drumming circle waking up the neighbours with a lively selection of beats. The focus of the day was to discuss the challenges of teaching French as a first language in an international or bilingual school. Congratulations to the Grade 5 students for an excellent Exhibition. Each student researched a global issue based on one of the United Nations Sustainability Goals. They prepared their stands in the assembly hall and invited the whole school community to share their learning. We were very impressed by their passion and knowledge.
