Grade 3 and 4 students took a trip to the local market in La Mulatière as part of their Unit of Inquiry Balanced Choices. In class, our focus had been on healthy eating, so students worked in small groups to buy healthy, balanced food from different food groups with a €5 budget to share back at school for our morning snack.
We used our thinking skills and communication skills while at the market in order to make choices as a group and communicate with the vendors in French. It was a huge success, giving our students the opportunity to be open-minded and to try foods they might not usually choose.
Well done, Grade 3 and 4!
