For three years now, the French B and French A students have been exchanging letters with students from another school in Lyon, Ecole Condorcet in Montchat.
This year, Mme Delecourt, a Grade 3 teacher, welcomed us to her school. It was quite a journey—bus, metro and tram—since the school is on the other side of Lyon from ISL. Despite the heat, we made it!
The experience was a lot of fun. We began with a game to guess who our penfriends were, then sang songs to each other in French and English. We visited the school, which is quite different from ours (the building dates back to 1936 and they have a cantine). Afterwards, we walked to a nearby park for a picnic and games with the other students. We ended the day with a lively game of “le foulard” before heading back on public transport. The day flew by!
Thank you to Miss Aurélie for accompanying us.
Here are some photos to remind us of this lovely summer day.
