In their current Unit of Inquiry “Who We Are”, the Kindergarten students have been learning about the five senses.
Recently, the Pre-Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten students participated in an engaging classroom activity designed to explore the sense of touch. Each student had to wear a blindfold and guess what was inside the mystery box, while only relying on their sense of touch. From soft, round pompoms to hard, plastic dinosaurs, the students were keen to guess every object taken from the box. As they explored, they discussed their findings and shared the sensations they experienced, trying to use new vocabulary. It was an enriching and fun activity! You can see some of the action below.
