In their English lessons, the Grade 8 students have been studying Steinbeck’s novel, Of Mice and Men. The descriptions of the settings are rich in detail. Not only do these descriptions create the atmosphere of the place, but they also reveal themes of the novel.
Students made drawings of the settings and labeled key features with quotes. Then they wrote a brief analysis exploring what those features tell us about the characters who live in those settings and the life they live. You can see some of their work below
