As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations, every Kindergarten and Primary student took part in a collaborative sewing project. Each student designed and created a fabric square to represent something special to them at ISL (whether a favourite lesson, a meaningful experience, or an aspect of their learning).
The designs were wonderfully diverse. Music notes, calculators, footballs, gardening, pizza days, and much more. The squares were then sewn together to form a giant quilt, a symbol of our shared experiences and the power of collaborative learning.
Today, the quilt hangs outside the Assembly Hall. It invites everyone to admire the creativity of our students, reflect on 20 years of memories at ISL, and look forward to the next 20 years!
