All Joer am Oktober gëtt uechter Frankräich „la semaine du goût“ gefeiert. Am ISL probéiert de franséischen Departement ëmmer e Wee ze fannen fir dat ze feieren, an dëst Joer war keng Ausnahm. D'Thema vun dësem Joer war wéi eis 5 senses are engaged during the eating experience. To demonstrate this, we challenged students (and staff!) to guess flavours of various coloured jellies. Without the “right” colour and texture of the food, it was very challenging to recognise flavours. Primary students tried the experiment with yogurts to test their sense of smell while trying to identify herbs and spices. It was great fun for all and produced some very interesting reactions!
