Grade 11 and 12 Geography and ESS students had a workshop on Friday 5th December exploring climate change issues connected to their IB syllabus content.
This was held in partnership with the EU-funded EYES (Empowering Youth through Environmental Storytelling) and News Decoder journalism organisations.
The workshop included presentations, discussions, and group activities on Degrowth and Climate Justice, with students brainstorming ways to ‘Shrink, Grow, or Transform’ sectors of the economy and developing journalistic pitches related to these topics.
Well done to everyone who participated! You now have even more material to draw from in your Geography and ESS courses, connecting directly to the exclusive screening of The Cost of Growth held on Wednesday evening.
These events were organised by Mr. Dunn and supported by Ms. Doran and have been incredibly beneficial for our students. Thank you to both teachers for such an inspiring experience.
