Tydens die "semaine de la langue française" het Thierry Mery, 'n strokiesprentkunstenaar, 'n werkswinkel in ISL gelewer. Graad 5, 6, 9 en 10 studente is geleer hoe om eenvoudige meetkundige te gebruik shapes to draw comic-style characters, faces and facial expressions.
The main idea was for students to come out of this workshop with a few useful tips and put them into practice straight away during this special week celebrating the French language.
This year’s theme for the “semaine de la francophonie” was “time”. Grade 9 and 10 drew a comic linked to that theme.
Grade 5 and 6 illustrated one episode of the book they are reading, “La gloire de mon père”.
It was a very fruitful day!
