On Friday 6th June, ISL welcomed 11 teachers from various international schools in France, Belgium, and Portugal. The focus of the day was to discuss the challenges of teaching French as a first language in an international or bilingual school.
The day began with a conference by Cathy Cohen, senior lecturer at INSPE in Lyon, who specialises in language teaching and bilingualism. Various workshops followed, where participants shared experiences and expertise. They left with new resources, ideas, and a renewed sense of inspiration.
The French teachers from ISL, who also took part, are excited to try out these new ideas soon in their upcoming lessons.
