School Calendar 2008-2009
 

N.B.
• The ISL school calendar broadly follows that of the French ‘Zone A’, which includes Lyon.
• The Christmas break starts two days earlier to allow people to travel home before Christmas Eve and the November break is shortened accordingly.
• For examination reasons we only have a one week break in February.
• The second date indicated for each break is the date for return to school.

Thursday, September 4th: Term 1 begins

Friday, October 24th - Tuesday, November 4th: Mid-term break

Wednesday, December 17th: International day. School breaks up after classes for first winter break.
Monday, January 5th: Term 2 begins

Friday, February 14th: - Monday, February 23rd: Mid-term break

Friday, April 4th – Monday, April 20th: Spring break

Friday, May 1st: Labour Day. No classes.
Friday, May 8th: V-Day. No classes.
Thursday, May 21st: Ascension Thursday. No classes.
Monday, June 1st: Whit Monday. No classes.

Friday, June 26th: School breaks at 12.00 for Summer vacation
